Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room prior to surgical procedures.
- Support surgical teams during procedures, ensuring proper equipment and supplies are available.
- Maintain sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to ensure smooth workflow during surgeries.
- Assist with patient setup and post-operative cleanup as needed.
- Follow facility policies and procedures to ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
Required Qualifications
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
- Valid RN license for nursing candidates is also acceptable.
- Ability to respond within 45 minutes for on-call shifts.
- Experience working in a surgical or OR setting, particularly with cardiac and vascular procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CNOR certification for nurses.
- Experience in cardiac and vascular surgery, including procedures such as CABG, AVR, MVR, aortic replacements, and heart transplants.
- Prior experience in a hybrid OR setting.
