- Full-time, 8-week travel assignment, night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients, including infants in the Level III Neonatal ICU.
- Monitor and assess critically ill neonatal patients, administering treatments and interventions as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and family support.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Adhere to unit policies and protocols, including infection control and safety procedures.
- Support neonatal & pediatric procedures with a focus on patient safety and high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Level III or higher NICU setting.
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Ability to float to Pediatric, PICU, and Mother Baby units as needed.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NICU-RNC certification preferred.
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability.

Unit Details
- NICU with 51 beds; staffing includes RNs, charge RNs, RTs.
- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:4.
- Equipment includes advanced neonatal care technology.
Additional Info
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs.
- On-call and every-other-weekend coverage required.
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina.
- Contract duration: 8 weeks, starting October 28, 2025.
