Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the CVPICU setting.
- Monitor and interpret ventilators, monitors, and EKGs, ensuring optimal patient safety.
- Administer medications, treatments, and support to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond to emergencies and participate in maintaining a safe, efficient unit.
Required Qualifications
- California RN license (active or pending).
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in CVPICU or pediatric cardiac intensive care.
- Cardiac training with experience in heart transplant cases.
- BLS and PALS certifications.
- Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation.
- Ability to float within scope to meet hospital needs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in top-ranked children's hospitals or teaching facilities.
- Previous exposure to transplant procedures and post-op cardiac care.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Note:
- Shift start date: November 10.
- Willingness to work 1 out of 2 holidays, including Eve's (no holiday RTO approved).
- Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, with shifts on Fridays/Saturdays or Saturdays/Sundays depending on shift type.
- Flu shot required.
- Preference for locally licensed candidates or those with an ETA for pending licenses.
- Travel nurses encouraged to apply; free parking available.
