Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units, including post-cardiac, post-MI, and cardiac catheterization patients.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergency situations using rapid response teams.
• Perform IV therapy, manage IV lines, and administer medications such as cardiac drips, PCA, and procedural sedation.
• Care for patients with endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, neurological, orthopedic, plastic, and respiratory needs, including wound care and chest tube management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure patient safety and comfort, and adhere to isolation precautions and wound care protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a hospital setting, preferably in charge and teaching hospital environments.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, and medication administration protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with neuro, cardiology, or stepdown units.
• Knowledge of oncology chemotherapy monitoring.
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs, including coverage across multiple units.
