Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care for Medical/Surgical and Telemetry patients in a hospital setting.
• Monitor and administer medications, including Heparin and Insulin, following established protocols.
• Document patient information accurately using electronic health systems such as EPIC.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Adhere to unit-specific procedures and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Respond to patient needs efficiently, particularly during high-acuity situations.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Ability to pass an EKG test specific to this specialty.
• Experience with Med/Surg and Telemetry units.
• Knowledge of Heparin and Insulin administration.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous experience working in a travel RN role (not required).
• Familiarity with hospital systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR communication.
• Ability to float to similar units as needed, at least once a week.

Additional Notes
• RTO (Request Time Off) is not permitted after booking and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO requests may result in cancellation.
• RTO requests must be made within a 7-day window; 13-26 weeks assignments accepted.
• The shift involves working every other weekend and holidays.
• Contract staff may be required to participate in storm or disaster response teams and could be relocated to different units or the centralized office if needed.
