- Full-time, night shifts, weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), 12-hour shifts, contract position
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to a 24-bed telemetry medical-surgical unit, managing patient conditions and monitoring cardiac rhythms.
- Correctly interpret and treat dysrhythmias, with telemetry monitored by a technician on a separate unit.
- Utilize hospital systems such as Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR to support patient care and medication administration.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to support patient stabilization, prevent complications, and deliver quality care.
- Adhere to unit protocols, including passing EKG testing prior to start and completing 36 hours of hospital orientation.
- Float to sister units as needed to support staffing and patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical/telemetry nursing experience.
- Valid RN license.
- BCLS certification.
- Ability to correctly interpret EKGs and manage dysrhythmias.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous telemetry experience with the ability to monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, diverse inpatient environment.
- Availability and flexibility to work weekends and night shifts.
