Registered Nurse Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type
- Days shift, full-time, possible 8- or 10-hour shifts, rotating to PM shifts, includes on-call and weekend rotations, potential float to other units/departments
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room, documenting and caring for surgical patients
- Sterile prepping of surgical sites, catheter insertion, and opening sterile supplies
- Position patients for surgery and set up OR equipment as directed
- Document procedures within electronic medical records, utilizing systems such as EPIC
- Operate and troubleshoot OR equipment including cautery, lasers, laparoscopic, arthroscopy, and navigation systems
- Assist with neuro and orthopedic procedures, including navigation and robotics (DaVinci preferred)
- Provide patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume OR environment with 25 suites and an average of 75-100 cases per day
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting with 250+ beds and Level 1 trauma status
- Experience in neuro and ortho surgeries, navigation systems, and robotics preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in acutely staffed hospital ORs with 15+ suites
- Outpatient surgery center experience is not suitable
- Strong general surgery and ENT skills

Additional Notes
- Candidates must badge in/out at the facility and wear provided scrubs (Ceil Blue)
- Must have experience with navigation, neuro/ortho procedures, and robotics; provide good interview availability upon submission
- Local candidates or those living within 80 miles of Fargo will be prioritized; additional travel compensation applies for those living 60-80 miles away
- Prior experience with Sanford Health must be disclosed, and any previous employment must have ended at least 6 months before application
