Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Telemetry unit, including post-surgical and transplant patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs and recognize early signs of deterioration.
- Administer medications, including Heparin gtts and PCA’s, following physician orders.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Assist with wound and drain care, including wound vacs and chest tubes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg/Telemetry experience.
- Experience caring for patients with Heparin gtts and PCA’s.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- Experience with solid organ transplant (kidney, liver, or pancreas).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task effectively.
