Key Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic and screening mammograms in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Produce high-quality radiographic images while providing compassionate patient care.
• Conduct specialized procedures such as 3-D mammography, stereotactic biopsies, fine needle aspirations, and needle localizations.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards mandated by MQSA and FDA through regular quality control activities.
• Float to other campuses as needed and maintain proficiency in various mammography equipment.
• Observe new staff performing exams to ensure competency before independent work.
Required Qualifications
• Valid active WA state mammography license.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience; 2+ years strongly preferred.
• Must be open to travel contracts if separated from other facilities for at least 3 months.
• Ability to perform a variety of mammographic procedures accurately.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with advanced mammography techniques including 3-D imaging and stereotactic procedures.
• Working knowledge of breast anatomy, radiographic exposure factors, and quality control processes.
• Flexibility to float between different facilities and adapt to various equipment setups.
