Key Responsibilities

• Assist in Surgical procedures across various specialties including transplant, spine, vascular, and robotics.
• Support operating room staff during surgeries, ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments for procedures.
• Follow unit guidelines and assist with patient positioning and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth workflow in a busy surgical unit.

Required Qualifications

• Current certification from NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
• Valid DORA (Department of Radiation and Oncology) credentials.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR or surgical tech experience.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures including transplants, spine, and vascular surgeries.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends, and handle call responsibilities.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with transplant or vascular procedures.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Proven ability to adapt to new equipment or technology in the OR.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.
