Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care to laboring patients during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Utilize departmental equipment including computerized charting systems, fetal monitoring, and medication systems.
• Document patient information using EPIC Stork, Centricity fetal monitoring, and Pyxis medication systems.
• Ensure adherence to established protocols for labor and delivery care.
• Collaborate with shift nurses, nurse leads, and a team of L&D RNs to deliver quality patient outcomes.
• Support patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum processes.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Current licenses and certifications: BC, ACLS, NRP.
• Ability to work 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM shifts.
• No call requirement.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a hospital with 16 LDR rooms.
• Ability to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1, possibly 1:2 during early labor or inductions.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and fetal monitoring technology.
