Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to laboring women, postpartum patients, and well newborns.
- Circulate during Cesarean sections and assist with various obstetric procedures.
- Monitor and care for patients in different stages of labor, including active labor, early labor, and postpartum.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as needed, including up to four weekend shifts per six-week schedule.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards in a high-pressure environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
- Skilled in obstetric nursing, including circulating Cesarean sections and postpartum care.
- Ability to care for newborns and support couplet care practices.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with scrubbing and assisting in Cesarean sections.
- Familiarity with managing antepartum and postpartum patients.
- Experience handling various patient acuity levels, including active labor and early labor without epidural.
