Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.), rotational weekends, and holiday coverage
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and well baby newborns in a Labor and Delivery unit
- Circulate during Cesarean section procedures and assist with obstetric emergencies
- Monitor and care for patients on couplet care, including postpartum and neonatal care
- Administer medications and perform assessments in accordance with unit protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Cover assigned weekend and holiday shifts, including active labor and antepartum care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Skilled in circulating Cesarean sections and caring for postpartum and newborn patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience assisting or scrubbing during Cesarean sections
- Familiarity with postpartum couplet care and neonatal assessments
- Ability to handle varying patient acuity levels, including active labor and well baby care
