Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical surgical and telemetry patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry equipment.
- Step down patients from ICU, ensuring stability without vents or pressor support.
- Administer and manage medications such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotolol.
- Initiate and assess telemetry needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license.
- Experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry settings.
- Ability to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
- Experience with ICU patient care and step-down units.
- Knowledge of medication administration, including heparin and anti-arrhythmic drugs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Emergency Room holding experience.
- Strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills.
- Ability to manage patients transitioning from ICU.
