Key Responsibilities
• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality cardiac images under the direction of the Director.
• Perform a variety of echocardiogram procedures, including adult echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms in accordance with policy and protocol.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of all exams and provide interpreting physicians with detailed information to assist in diagnosis.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver procedures efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Utilize equipment such as Philips IE33 and Philips Epiq, and properly document using Epic EMR.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety throughout all procedures.

Required Qualifications
• Associates of Science degree in a healthcare-related field or completion of a two-year echocardiogram training program.
• Valid license in Cardiac Ultrasound from ARDMS or CCI certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience, specifically with echocardiography.
• Certifications such as ARRT, CRT, BLS, or ACLS are required.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Familiarity with Philips ultrasound systems (IE33 and Epiq).
• Experience working with hospital EMR systems, specifically Epic.
• Ability to perform a range of echocardiogram procedures independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide comprehensive exam documentation.

• Some call and weekend hours may be required.
• Will not float to other units or departments.
• Dress code: hospital-provided scrubs.
• Mandatory attendance for all 7 days of orientation, including department-specific training in EMR and contrast administration.
