Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, no shift specified, 12-hour shifts, night shifts, every third weekend, holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for postpartum mothers and newborns in a Mother Baby/Postpartum unit
- Assist with patient assessments, care planning, and education tailored to new mothers and infants
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies
- Cover Med-Surg and occasional Emergency Department duties as needed
- Support hospital operations with holiday and weekend coverage in accordance with rotation schedules
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
- Strong clinical knowledge of postpartum and newborn care
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and weekend rotations
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a Mother Baby or postpartum unit
- Pediatric or obstetric nursing certification (e.g., CPN, CLC) preferred
