Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute inpatient care on an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, managing complex patient conditions.
• Administer medications, including insulin and cardiac drips, and perform IV starts and post-cardiac cath care.
• Monitor patient vital signs and assessments using EPIC EMR, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Float to appropriate units as needed, supporting various patient populations and acuity levels.
• Comply with infection control, safety standards, and documentation requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York RN license or proof of application with applied date.
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
• Experience with insulin and cardiac drips, IV placement, and post-cardiac cath care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel or float experience in similar units.
• Knowledge of trauma level 2 facilities and acute cardiac care.
• Ability to work with adult patient populations and manage complex cases.

Additional Notes

• Assignment starts December 1 for 16-32 weeks.
• Travel rate: $100/hour; local rate: $90-$95 depending on distance.
• Must work 2 out of 3 holidays.

• Bi-weekly orientations, with next session on December 15.
