Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the medical-surgical unit, including head-to-toe assessments and vital signs.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, ambulating, and feeding.
- Administer medications, IV placement, and perform wound care procedures.
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic).
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Adhere to unit policies and safety guidelines, including appropriate dress code.
Required Qualifications
- Valid AK Nursing License
- BLS certification
- At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Telemetry knowledge
- Chemo certification
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system

Additional Details
- Unit with 25 beds, staffed by a team of 65.
- Patient ratio of 6:1.
- No on-call requirements; weekend shifts 3 times per month.
- Unit policies provided upon acceptance.
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs.
- No additional on-call or floating requirements beyond specified units.
