Travel, 13-week assignment, night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-risk antepartum, labor, and recovery care to patients in a busy labor and delivery unit.
- Monitor fetal well-being using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) equipment.
- Perform cervical checks and assist with obstetric procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
- Document patient information accurately in Meditech and CPNS systems.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide necessary interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted).
- BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years hospital experience in labor and delivery.
- Ability to care for high-risk antepartum, labor, and recovery patients.
- Capable of checking cervix and performing associated procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with advanced fetal monitoring and labor support procedures.
- Certification in RNC-OB is a plus.
- Ability to scrub in surgical sections or place internal monitors is beneficial.
