Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Springfield, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shift (3x12s)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a 23-bed Medical Surgical unit.
- Manage PICC lines and starting IVs, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols.
- Float within scope of practice as needed to meet facility needs.
- Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic charting system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including maintaining certification requirements and proper documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Illinois nursing license or in the process with an ETA.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical RN experience in a hospital setting.
- BLS and NIH certifications.
- Experience with PICC line management and starting IVs.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Previous charge nurse experience.
- Cerner EMR system experience.
