Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Stepdown unit within a 341-bed hospital.
- Monitor and respond to patients with acute cardiac conditions, including post-PTCA/stent, ACS, and hemodynamic instability.
- Administer and manage various drips such as insulin, cardiac, and vasodilators, ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Perform starting IVs, arrhythmia management, and invasive monitoring as required.
- Float to other units as needed, supporting the resource float team.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NY State RN license or proof of application with applied date.
- Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry/telemetry-related experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification prior to start.
- Experience with Epic EMR within the past 2 years.
- Ability to work 16-32 week assignment, including holidays and every other weekend.
- Reliable transportation, with all-season or snow tires during winter months.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a telemetry or stepdown setting.
- Prior travel or float experience preferred.
- Knowledge of complex cardiac and critical care procedures.
