Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and support of surgical procedures across various specialties including trauma, neuro, ortho, ENT, and robotics.
• Ensure the sterile environment and proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient patient care and procedure flow.
• Maintain compliance with safety and procedural protocols, including radiation safety standards.
• Support multiple surgical units, potentially floating within scope as needed.
• Contribute to a dynamic, team-oriented surgical department with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or equivalent certification (NCCT NOT accepted).
• BLS certification.
• Radiation badge obtained through the agency.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience.
• Ability to assist in a variety of cases including neuro, ENT, orthopedics, trauma, and robotics.
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including up to one weekend shift every four weeks.
• Willingness to be on-call up to four shifts every four weeks.
• Ability to float across units and facilities within scope.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neurosurgery (spines/crani), ENT flaps, and robotic surgeries (DaVinci Xi).
• Familiarity with complex case support in a level-one trauma center.
• Experience in transplant, trauma, burns, GU, and GYN procedures.

• During hurricane season (June-November), employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.
• Travelers should plan accordingly to accommodate potential emergency assignments.
