Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, contract, 13-week assignment, night shift, on-site, scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation. Flexibility required for various shift lengths and days. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a medical-surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 during days and evenings, 1:8 at night.
- Execute medical procedures utilizing equipment such as Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vacs, chest tubes.
- Ensure compliance with unit protocols and maintain professional nursing standards.
- Float to other units such as Laulima and Cardiovascular as needed.
- Adhere to department-specific dress code and participate in orientation programs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii Registered Nurse license (must obtain before start date if not already licensed).
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- 2 to 10 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Proof of flu vaccination or approved religious/medical exemption prior to contract start date.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR and advanced wound management equipment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and unit assignments.
