Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate patients upon initial encounter to assess impairments and determine rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, assistive device training, balance and coordination retraining, massage, heat, and cold therapy.
• Conduct diagnostic tests on muscles, nerves, joints, and functional abilities to inform treatment strategies.
• Guide and support patients through therapeutic regimens, adjusting techniques to meet individual needs.
• Delegate routine care to support personnel and supervise to ensure proper execution of tasks.
• Document patient progress, treatment notes, and billing information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient treatment plans and progress.
• Counsel patients and their families about disability management and recovery strategies.
• Participate in educational programs, meetings, and ensure compliance with policies, safety, and infection control standards.

Required Qualifications
• Valid state licensure or license eligibility as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically Cerner and Matrix.
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques for patients with various impairments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt treatment approaches to diverse patient needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Knowledge of billing procedures related to physical therapy services.
• Ability to perform assessments for pre-employment evaluations.
