Key Responsibilities
• Assist surgeons as a scrub technician by preparing sterile fields, instruments, and supplies for various surgical procedures.
• Set up, drape, and maintain the sterile environment during surgeries, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed at all times.
• Assist in patient transfer, positioning, and preparation for surgery, including applying dressings and assisting with specimen handling.
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments; communicate effectively with the surgical team to meet procedural needs.
• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintain inventory, and ensure the surgical suite is clean, stocked, and safe.
• Provide patient care and support, communicating professionally and courteously with patients and their families.

Required Qualifications
• Certification as a surgical technologist or equivalent.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, infection control, and surgical instrumentation.
• Ability to assist in a fast-paced surgical environment with attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in a hospital or surgical setting.
• Familiarity with operating room protocols and equipment sterilization procedures.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
