- Full-time, temporary (13 weeks), night shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), on-site
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum and mother-baby patients in a 34-bed unit.
- Monitor and assist with procedures such as circumcisions, Magnesium Sulfate management, and other postpartum care.
- Educate and support patients and their families during recovery and postpartum processes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities accurately within the Cerner EMR system.
- Maintain unit protocols, safety standards, and certifications to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS / NRN certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a postpartum or mother-baby setting.
- Valid North Carolina nursing license or appropriate country license for travel.
- Experience with postpartum procedures, including Magnesium Sulfate management and caring for patients post-delivery.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to unit policies and procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Travel nursing experience.
- Experience caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate postpartum.
- STABLE certification.
- Strong team player with a passion for teaching and patient education.
