Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, on-site, days

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide holistic medical social services to patients and their families to address physical, social, emotional, and environmental challenges affecting health.
• Assist patients of all ages, from intra-uterine to elderly, in solving or improving health-related issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and community resources to support patient well-being.
• Offer support through one-on-one and group interactions, effectively communicating complex information.
• Use administrative skills to document and coordinate patient care in compliance with healthcare standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Current Alaska State LMSW license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Valid Alaska State driver’s license.
• Basic computer literacy.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in cross-cultural environments, especially with bilingual skills in English and Yup'ik.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend at college level, with strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations and data interpretation.
• Ability to work independently and perform supervisory tasks when needed.
