Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location
• Wichita, KS
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, travel assignment, 12-hour day shifts (7AM - 7PM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients in a busy 26-bed labor and delivery unit
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, condition, and progress using advanced equipment and EMR systems
• Perform procedures including C-sections, inductions, AROM, IUPC placements, Doppler assessments, and high-risk labor support
• Assist with patient education, documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary care teams
• Participate in unit policies on oxytocin administration and high-risk labor management
• Support team-based nursing care through flexible staffing and collaborative approach
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery RN experience
• Current RN license in Kansas or valid RN license in applicable state for travel
• Proficiency in high-risk LDR procedures and postpartum care
• Experience with EMR systems such as Meditech and CPN Gold
• Able to perform high-acuity patient assessments and procedures confidently
Preferred Experience / Skills
• More than 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• High-risk pregnancy and labor support experience
• Experience with C-sections, inductions, and use of monitors and telemetry
