• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

• Temporary, Night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit with a patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally flexing to 1:6.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies utilizing telemetry.
• Manage post-procedure patients such as post-cardiac angiograms, post-MI, and pre/post cardiac catheterization or surgery.
• Administer IV medications including insulin protocols, blood products, and vasoactive drips.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate care within a busy cardiac unit.
• Float between departments as needed within scope to support facility operations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a similar setting.
• Cardiac telemetry experience and teaching hospital background preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and respond swiftly to emergencies.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, tertiary care hospital environment.
• Must be willing to float between departments and units as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with sheath removal and titration of cardiac or vasoactive drips.
• Knowledge of surgical drains, chest tubes, and airway management including BIPAP and HFNC.
• Skills in wound care and isolation precautions.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system.
