Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, day shifts, 10-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients in various specialty areas including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Dental.
- Circulate and assist in all OR procedures, gaining scrubbing experience preferred.
- Assess patient needs, develop nursing diagnoses, plan interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Prepare for emergency cases and work varied hours, including on-call duties on short notice.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant certifications and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, U.S. territory, or Puerto Rico.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six months of hire.
- Certification in NIH Stroke Scale within six months of hire.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing or operating room experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience circulating and scrubbing in surgical procedures.
- Previous perioperative nursing certification (CNOR).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within two years of hire.
