- Days, 12-hour shifts, full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and assist with procedures.
- Float between various healthcare facilities within the Cone Health system as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Support patients with acute and chronic conditions such as respiratory illnesses, post-op recovery, orthopedic surgeries, and other diagnoses listed.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance standards, including required testing and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS and NIH preferred.
- Experience caring for acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients.
- Ability to pass the required Pass/Fail EKG exam.
- Flexibility with scheduling, including holidays and floating between facilities.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with post-op general surgery, GYN, total knee/hip replacements.
- Knowledge of managing complex conditions such as respiratory illnesses, CHF, renal failure, and diabetic emergencies.
- Prior travel nursing experience is welcome.

Additional Notes
- All travel nurses are expected to work either Thursday/Friday or Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year’s Eve/Day rotations.
- Up to six patients per shift may be assigned.
- Must be willing to float between facilities within the system.
