Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location
• Decatur, IL

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide skilled nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a busy Level II Trauma center
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, respond to emergency situations, and utilize telemetry for remote patient monitoring
• Manage gastrointestinal cases including colostomy and feeding tube care
• Oversee pre/post-dialysis processes and manage renal failure patients
• Administer IV therapies such as Heparin, Insulin, and PCA medications
• Support respiratory needs with equipment like CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and airway management

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Valid and active Illinois nursing license or in the process of licensure with ETA
• BLS certification
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and emergency response teams
• Skilled in GI, GU, renal, IV therapy, medication administration, and respiratory care
• Cerner charting experience

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in a Level II Trauma center or similar acute care setting
• Knowledge of wound care and wound vac management
• Ability to float within scope to meet department needs
