Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
Job Title
- Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

- Bismarck, ND
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, rotating shifts
- 12-hour night shifts, with day/night rotation
- Every other weekend; no call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a busy Orthopedic unit and Joint Replacement Center
- Administer medications, including blood products, and assess patient conditions
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures and monitor post-op recovery
- Educate patients and collaborate with CNAs to deliver comprehensive care
- Support trauma and general medical-surgical patients
- Follow quality standards for an Advanced Certified Total Joint Replacement Center
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- Must have at least 2 years of medical-surgical experience; orthopedic experience a plus
- Must note if clinician previously worked for Sanford Health; if yes, end date must be over 6 months prior to submission
- Ability to badge in and out at the facility
- Scrubs: Navy blue
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in orthopedic units or joint replacement centers
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Experience caring for trauma and general surgical patients

Additional Notes
- Location does not accept local travelers within 80 miles.
- Float to medical-surgical units as needed.
- Orientation of 6-12 hours provided for new travelers.
