Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room across various surgical specialties, including general, ENT, neurosurgery, orthopedics, gynecology, trauma, urology, and plastic surgery.
• Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Support surgical team with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility staffing needs.
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and operating protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of surgical technology experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• CST certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a Level I trauma center and acute care hospital setting.
• Skilled in assisting with ENT, endoscopic, general, gynecological, neurosurgical, orthopedic, plastic, trauma, and urology procedures.
• Proficient in handling surgical instrumentation, sterilization, and aseptic techniques.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with complex surgeries such as craniotomy, laminectomy, lumbar fusion, microvascular free flaps, and trauma cases.
• Familiarity with advanced equipment like drills, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic systems.
• Prior teaching hospital experience preferred.
