Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Full-time, Night shifts (3 per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Cardiac ICU/Progressive Care Unit, focusing on cardiac and respiratory patient management.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac drips, including titration of vasoactive and cardiac medications.
• Assist with pre- and post-cardiac cath procedures, manage peripheral lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, and external CPAP/BIPAP devices.
• Administer procedural sedation and manage complex cardiac devices such as pacemakers and tracheostomies.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols regarding patient safety, medication administration, and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Rapid Response Teams, to respond to patient needs promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac ICU, PCU, or similar setting
• Cardiac PCU experience with proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays, with schedule flexibility
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, IV management, and procedural support
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience
• NIH certification preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Ability to handle multiple patient ratios (1:4 with drips/bipap, 1:5 otherwise)
• Familiarity with rapid response protocols and respiratory care management
