Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for surgical procedures within specialties such as Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Gynecology, Urology, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, and Total Joints.
- Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly for surgeries.
- Support perioperative team by preparing patients, reviewing medical histories, and obtaining vital signs and relevant diagnostics.
- Assist with intraoperative procedures, ensuring patient safety, and monitoring vital signs during surgeries.
- Provide post-operative care support, including patient recovery monitoring and discharge procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible for Compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Radiation badge provided by the employing organization
- Minimum of 1 year of surgical tech experience in perioperative settings
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, Gynecology, Urology, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, or Total Joints
- Well-rounded in specialties aligned with the unit’s caseload; experience in general surgery, L&D, or pediatrics not required
