Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery
Job Title
- Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Nights shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery unit for approximately 120 births per month
- Collaborate with medical team to deliver patient-centered obstetric care
- Assist in circulating C-section procedures and manage patient triage and postpartum care
- Maintain documentation in Meditech, ensuring accurate and timely patient records
- Float to Maternal and Baby Unit (MBU) as needed, following floating policies
- Adhere to facility protocols, including infection control and safety procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (permanent license only)
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring (FM)
- Knowledge of Meditech documentation system
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to schedule flexibility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- RNC certification
- Advanced skills in obstetric and neonatal nursing
- Experience with C-section procedures and postpartum care
- Familiarity with AWHONN standards
