- Full-time, nights, 36-48 hours per week, working 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients in a small, 6-bed unit with 1:1 to 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Collaborate with a tele-ICU intensivist and on-site medical teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients, including those requiring telemetry and advanced interventions
- Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records system
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence during night shifts
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Active nursing license in Illinois (or eligible to obtain)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-motivation during night shifts
- Willingness to float within scope to medical, cardiology, or med/surg units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in small ICU units or with tele-ICU consults
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
