Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, day shifts, 8/10/12-hour shifts, rotating across units/departments, with floating responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Perform delegated nursing interventions to stable dialysis patients under the supervision of registered nurses, including initiation, monitoring, and discontinuation of treatments
- Operate dialysis equipment safely and correctly, including setting alarms and conducting safety tests
- Prepare dialysis access sites, perform cannulation, and obtain blood samples as required
- Adjust blood flow and fluid removal rates according to policy, monitor treatment parameters, and document vital signs and treatment specifics
- Respond to dialysis-related emergencies, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, under RN guidance
- Administer medications such as Heparin, local anesthetic, and Normal Saline during dialysis procedures
- Assist in developing policies related to technical aspects of dialysis and contribute to performance improvement initiatives
- Participate in departmental training, orientation, and ongoing staff education
Required Qualifications
- Valid Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification
- Minimum of 2-3 years recent outpatient/chronic dialysis experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 8/10/12-hour shifts and be flexible to float across units/departments
- Knowledge of dialysis procedures, equipment (Braun Dialysis Machines), and infection control policies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a 15-station dialysis unit or similar setting
- Familiarity with water systems and dialysis policies
- Prior employment at Sanford Health within the last 6 months (must note if applicable)

Additional Information
- Candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility; local rates apply, with a reduction of $8/hour for out-of-state candidates
- Must be willing to apply for the Minnesota Net Study within 2 weeks of acceptance
- Department includes a water system and dialysis equipment orientation; badge-in/out required
- Scrub color is gray
