Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care in the emergency psychiatric unit for patients aged 5 and up.
- Develop, update, and evaluate individualized, interdisciplinary care plans.
- Assess patient outcomes and identify appropriate resources to support recovery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid State of Maine RN license.
- 2-year Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- BLS certification.
- Current CPI training prior to start date.
- Minimum of 1 year of mental health nursing experience.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to cover shifts 24/7 as needed.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with psychiatric diagnoses such as major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, or psychotic disorders.
- Experience in crisis or emergency mental health settings.
