Registered Nurse - ICU
Location: Decatur, IL
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including those with cardiac issues and post-interventional needs.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications such as IV sedation, emergency medications, and vasoactive drips.
• Manage ventilated patients, including ventilator settings, ABG interpretation, and airway management.
• Perform IV therapy procedures including arterial lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration.
• Respond to emergencies, including Code Blue and rapid response situations, ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ ICU experience, including Cardiac and CVICU.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH stroke certification.
• Experience interpreting dysrhythmias, managing cardiac and thoracic patients, including post-cardiac cath care.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, airway management, and emergency response skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with chronic and acute renal failure management.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions.
