  • Full-time, 12-hour day and night rotating shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with solid tumor cancers, including chemotherapy administration and post-treatment support
  • Monitor patients using telemetry interpretation and telemetry monitoring to ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to focus on infection prevention and fall prevention protocols
  • Enter and maintain accurate patient records in electronic health record systems, including EPIC and other computerized charting tools
  • Adapt to staffing needs with flexible shift assignments, including days, nights, or a combination, based on department priorities
  • Participate in self-scheduling and orientation processes to ensure smooth integration into the team

Required Qualifications

  • Valid nursing license and current BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical or oncology nursing experience
  • Proven competency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced oncology environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Oncology certification, such as ONS Chemo certification, is highly preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health records and other computerized charting systems

Notes

  • No set or blocked schedules; self-scheduling available
  • Orientation consists of one week of days followed by 36 hours of on-unit training with a preceptor
  • Floating to other Medical Surgical Oncology units is required
