Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts, 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to adolescents through geriatrics in a telemetry environment
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and utilize rapid response teams when needed
• Administer IV therapies, including blood products, central line care, and PICC line management
• Manage cardiac drips (Heparin and vasoactive) within protocol guidelines
• Handle post-procedural and surgical patient needs, including chest tubes, non-invasive ventilation, and airway management

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrocardiogram strips
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Current Illinois license or appropriate state licensure for practice

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with general medical-surgical patients and orthopedic surgical cases, including total joint and orthopedic post-op care
• Knowledge of external CPAP, BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management
• Familiarity with managing cardiac catheters and post-cardiac surgery patients
