Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, dayshift, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in an IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit, ensuring safe and effective nursing practices.
- Float to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) as needed.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, including holiday coverage and compliance with shift schedules.
- Complete assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress.
- Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months recent and permanent experience in PCU/Stepdown or similar unit.
- Valid Ohio license or valid Compact state license in hand.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with float nursing across various units.
- Familiarity with hospital electronic systems, such as Qualivis – Lotus.
- Strong critical thinking and urgent care skills.
