Schedule / Job Type
- Travel / 13-week assignment / Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) / 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a 34-bed Adult Med Surg unit, focusing on telemetry rhythm monitoring
- Monitor and assess patients with cardiac telemetry, responding to changes in acuity levels
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (Cerner)
- Follow unit policies, attend shift huddles, and adhere to safety and hygiene standards
- Assist and support colleagues, fostering a team-oriented environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of North Carolina
- BLS certification required
- Proficiency in telemetry rhythm interpretation and patient assessment
- Ability to manage med-surg level patients and respond appropriately to medical changes
- Strong communication skills and reliability in shift attendance
- At least 2 years of relevant RN experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification highly preferred
- Experience working in adult medical-surgical units, with a focus on telemetry
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and assist in various unit areas as needed
