Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, three days per week
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications to patients in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Assist with patient care duties including feeding, repositioning, and toileting as permitted under GNA license
- Document medication administration and patient responses accurately
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Support the care team by floating to various units as needed, including households caring for residents with dementia or cognitive impairments
- Comply with facility policies regarding attendance, punctuality, and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Maryland GNA license
- Maryland Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a long-term care setting or similar environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in household units or with residents with dementia
- Ability to recognize individual resident needs, routines, and preferences
- Strong attention to detail and compliance with strict facility policies
