Full-time, nights shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with mental health diagnoses, including adolescents and adults
• Administer medications via PO, IM, IV, SC, and other routes
• Monitor patient symptoms and behaviors, including suicidal ideation, trauma, and stressors
• Follow seclusion protocols and physical hold procedures as needed
• Document patient assessments and treatment plans in MediTech and SBAR communication system
• Assist with procedures such as wound care, CPAP management, Foley insertions, and diabetic care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1.5 years of psychiatric nursing experience
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses including bipolar, depressive, psychotic, and substance use disorders
• Experience with medication administration and patient safety protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with adolescent or adult psychiatric populations
• Experience with first-time travelers (preferred but not mandatory)
• CPI certification (training available if not already certified)
• Ability to handle crisis situations and implement de-escalation techniques

Candidates within 75 miles of Manchester, CT are considered local. Local candidates are eligible for a rate decrease of $10.
Please note that all allied positions do not accept local candidates.
Scrubs required: Royal Blue (not provided).
Shift includes weekend coverage every other weekend.
Experience with Omnicell medication system, MediTech documentation, and SBAR communication system is required.
