Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Perform responsible nursing procedures based on doctors' orders, standards of care, and hospital policies.
- Support patients and their families through comprehensive inpatient care in a 5-bed ICU setting.
- Assist with after-hours recovery of post-operative general surgery, pediatric, and obstetrics patients as needed.
- Float periodically to Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, or Pediatric units based on census needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Current unrestricted RN license to practice in the United States.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification within 6 months of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in rural or culturally diverse healthcare settings is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of patient care situations.
