Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Alexandria, LA
Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 13-week travel assignment (possible temp-to-perm)
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients on telemetry unit, including those with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and med-surg overflow.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitor for side effects, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding health conditions and treatments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification from AHA.
• Current ACLS certification from AHA.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate clinical competence.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in telemetry, cardiac, or med-surg nursing.
• Strong assessment and patient education skills.
• Ability to adapt to floating requirements and varied patient conditions.
