- Full-time, temporary contract, 3 or 4 x 12-hour day shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and post-partum periods in a busy Level III Obstetrical Unit
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Quickly adapt to unit needs, including floating between Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum units as required
- Complete all charting accurately within EPIC electronic medical record system
- Attend a structured three-day orientation at the start of assignment
- Support unit operations during high-volume periods, managing up to 400+ births in peak seasons
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant RN experience in Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum
- Current ACLS and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate certification required
- Valid RN license pending acceptance considered
- Ability to work nights and every other weekend, with flexibility for additional shifts as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or acute care experience in a Level III Obstetrical unit
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with green core staff
- Ability to quickly learn unit workflows and protocol
